Location: Harlem Hospital Center - New York, NY
Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 05/11/2026
Schedule: Days, 5x8 hrs (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
Hours: 40 hours/week

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Wound Care Registered Nurse for a 13-week assignment at a leading acute care facility in New York. The RN will specialize in wound, ostomy, and continence care, providing comprehensive patient assessments and developing individualized treatment plans.

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience
Experience in wound care, ostomy, and continence management
Active New York RN License (required at submission)
BLS certification (AHA) required
One of the following certifications required:
- CWOCN / CWON / CWCN (WOCNCB)
- CWS (ABWM)
- WCC (NAWCO)
Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited program

Responsibilities:

Conduct focused wound, ostomy, and continence assessments
Develop and implement patient-specific care plans
Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatment
Provide education and counseling to patients and families
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal care outcomes
Lead and support staff education and training programs
Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
Assist in selection of wound care supplies and equipment

Acute care hospital setting
Focus on pressure injury prevention and complex wound management
Strong emphasis on patient education and quality care delivery
Must maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
