Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a vital member of the patient care team responsible for delivering direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in all assigned areas. The RN will assess patients upon admission using appropriate interview techniques to gather past medical history, current medical status, vital signs, lab results, x-rays, and other diagnostic tests. The RN will also be involved in planning and implementing a written care plan under the direction of a physician.

Education and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
• Active New Hampshire RN License required or eligibility to obtain
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required

Assessment

• Able to perform standard assessments using basic equipment.

Medication Administration

• Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination are necessary for safe medication administration.

Communication and Documentation

• Maintains patient confidentiality.
• Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Patient Safety

• Adherence to safety standards.

Interpersonal Skills

• Positive interaction with team members and patients.
• Respect for patients' culture, lifestyle, religion, and age in care planning and implementation.
• Ability to accept constructive criticism and manage emotional responses positively.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved School of Nursing.
• Current New Hampshire RN License required or eligibility to obtain.
• Clinical experience preferred.
• Membership in a professional nursing organization is a plus.
• Certification in specialty areas preferred.
