KYSDF - NK, 600 Terminal Dr, Louisville, Kentucky, United States of America Job Description Posted Thursday, January 30, 2025 at 5:00 AM GAT is seeking dynamic individuals to join its team of aviation professionals. Job Summary Customer Service Supervisor is responsible for supervising all functions of the airline customer service operations, which include auditing flight paperwork, completing personnel evaluations on leads and trainers, coordinating handling of OJIs, ensuring compliance with safety policies, attending safety and team meetings, managing location personnel coverage, and acting as liaison with airline customers and local airport authorities. Responsibilities Monitor and ensure the safe and efficient operation of all airline ground support equipment. Report any functional or mechanical discrepancies on the equipment. Coordinate with each assigned carrier to ensure cargo and baggage service meets carrier needs and on‑time schedules. Ensure equipment is in safe and efficient operating status. Confer with other supervisors and managers to coordinate activities with other departments. Determine manpower requirements; conduct disciplinary procedures fairly, timely, and consistently. Comply with attendance and tardiness standards. Perform under pressure and within fixed time constraints. Read and interpret aircraft weight‑balance loading instructions, hazardous materials identification labels, aircraft loading manifest, and baggage routing tags. Follow all federal, state, municipal, airport authority, and carrier rules and regulations. Ensure crews are briefed before flights on positions and flight procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Strong understanding of airline customer service. Experience in the airport ground handling business. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; minimum 6 months computer experience. Ability to navigate electronic devices (phones, computers, fax machines, printers, timeclock, etc.). Proven track record in supervising a business unit. Experience in operational planning and resource allocation. Working knowledge of GSE maintenance issues. Understanding of commercial issues in aviation. High School diploma or GED. At least 18 years of age. Capable of processing information in a timely manner. Valid driver’s license. Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English. Basic computer literacy. Previous ramp or airline experience. Successfully complete all training requirements and maintain certifications throughout employment. Clear FBI fingerprint background check. Successfully complete all required training. Physical Requirements Physically fit to stand, lift, bend, push, and pull for extended periods. Capable of repetitively lifting up to 70 pounds in confined spaces. Willing to work outside in all weather conditions with exposure to loud noises. Working Hours Flexible to work variable shifts, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to work extended hours on short notice during non‑routine operations.
