What You'll Be Doing Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Purchase and expedite delivery of raw materials, equipment, supplies, spare parts, and services to maintain continuous plant operations. Negotiate contracts and/or purchase agreements for raw materials, spare parts, supplies, services and equipment for new projects under the direction of management. Communicate with all departments to fulfill their purchasing needs and inform them of order status. Participate in and conduct supplier audits. Source goods and services. Prepare and analyze RFQs. Audit purchase orders and requisitions for clarity, accuracy, and specificity. Compile, store, and retrieve purchasing records. Build and manage vendor relationships. Participate in meetings as necessary. Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions. Support strategic sourcing initiatives. Ensure that correct contracts are in place with vendors. Perform other duties as required. Ideal Background Education High School Diploma/GED are required. A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field is highly preferred. Experience 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or related fields. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Well‑developed interpersonal, oral communication, and writing skills. Flexibility, adaptability, and strong organizational skills; able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without losing focus and prioritize work effectively. Detail‑oriented and committed to quality work products. High commitment to work processes, procedures, and systems. Commercial negotiation skills. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry in excess of 25 lbs. Regularly required to work in an office environment, which may include long periods of sitting. Occasionally required to push, pull, bend, climb, and perform long periods of standing and walking on cement foundations. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, and climb stairs.
