Maintenance Mechanic

Seeking a powerhouse Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to join our 3rd-shift team (9:00 PM - 5:30 AM). This is a technical leadership position designed for an expert who thrives on solving complex puzzles when the sun goes down. As the primary guardian of our overnight production, you will be the go-to expert for a massive array of heavy-industrial machinery, ranging from high-capacity mills and dryers to cutting-edge PLC automation.  In this role, you will experience a unique blend of "heavy iron" and "high tech." On any given night, you may find yourself performing high-level fabrication and MIG/Stick welding, troubleshooting a 500hp motor circuit, or diagnosing an intricate hydraulic solenoid failure. You will also bridge the gap between the shop floor and the front office by utilizing JD Edwards (JDE) and Microsoft Teams to manage work orders, coordinate with vendors, and audit team progress. We require a 2-year technical degree or equivalent heavy-industrial experience to meet the demands of this position.

Responsibilities

Seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our 3rd-shift team. In this vital multi-craft role, the successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of complex, heavy-industrial equipment, including automated systems, high-pressure hydraulics, and pneumatic circuits. You will serve as a technical expert, performing advanced electrical diagnostics on PLC systems. 

We are looking for a continous-improvement-minded professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to demonstrate their expertise through a technical aptitude assessment. 

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time
