Assembly Technician

About the Role

As an Assembly Technician, you will build and assemble products using hand and power tools, follow detailed work instructions, and ensure all assemblies meet quality standards. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical and electrical assembly work in a fast-paced production setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electrical components according to blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.

• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment to complete assemblies accurately and efficiently.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and assembly procedures.

• Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards and specifications are met.

• Troubleshoot assembly issues and communicate concerns to supervisors or engineering teams.

• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.

• Follow all safety procedures and keep work areas clean and organized.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.

Required Skills & Experience

• Mechanical and/or electrical assembly experience.

• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and BOMs.

• Experience using hand and power tools.

• Strong attention to detail and quality.

• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work efficiently in a production environment.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing or assembly experience.

• Experience working with electrical wiring and mechanical components.

• Familiarity with quality inspection processes and measuring tools.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $29.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
