Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,027–$2,121 per week Guaranteed hours: 0 Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 5x8 days Start date: 05/26/2026 Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital (inpatient) Weekend coverage: 2–4 weekends per month Responsibilities Perform comprehensive speech‑language pathology evaluations and provide treatment for inpatients with communication, cognitive‑communication, and swallowing disorders in acute care and neuro rehab settings. Develop and implement individualized goals and plans of care, monitor progress, and adjust interventions as needed. Conduct bedside assessments and document findings in the electronic medical record (Cerner experience required; Epic experience preferred). Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (physicians, nurses, rehabilitation therapists, and families) to plan discharge and optimize transitions of care; provide patient and family education. Ensure compliance with ASHA CCC standards and state licensure requirements; maintain credentials and professional responsibilities. Reassess patient progress, coordinate with the team on discharge planning, and contribute to smooth handoffs across shifts, including weekend coverage as assigned. Requirements Active Speech‑Language Pathologist license in California (state of practice) – Required ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) – Required CPR certification or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS‑BLS OR RQIBLS) – Required Inpatient/acute rehab/neuro (stroke/TBI) experience – Required Cerner experience required; Epic experience preferred Ability to work in an inpatient acute care/neuro rehab setting and to collaborate within an interdisciplinary team #J-18808-Ljbffr
