Job Summary
Baltimore, Maryland This inpatient Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position involves providing specialized communication and swallowing therapy to adult patients within a healthcare facility. The role requires delivering patient-centered care, conducting assessments, and implementing treatment plans, with an emphasis on patients with neurological conditions such as traumatic brain injury (TBI) and cerebrovascular accident (CVA). Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week, with every third weekend scheduled
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, Maryland or Compact license, and availability to work the specified schedule
- Preferred Qualifications: 3 years of experience preferred but will consider 2 years with strong experience/skillset; previous experience working with TBI and CVA patient populations
- Additional Information: The role involves working in adult inpatient rehabilitation with responsibilities including assessments, augmentative communication, bedside swallow evaluations, and conducting Modified Barium Swallow Studies. Candidates must be comfortable with documentation, patient education, and participating in team collaboration.
