CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.As our Certified Phlebotomy Technician Level II, you will be responsible for obtaining blood, urine, and culture specimens from patients ranging in age from newborn to geriatric, according to established procedures of Marian Medical Center Laboratory and State and Federal Regulations.To be successful in this role, you must:Perform clerical functions and routine repetitive specimen testing under direct supervision of a licensed technologistRotate shifts, holidays, and weekends as neededBe able to follow verbal and written instructions exactlyDemonstrate and promote teamworkBe able to work in a calm and conscientious manner under high volume and STAT conditionsHave basic communication skills and the ability to be caring and personable with patients are mandatoryHave Knowledge of standard laboratory terminology is preferredHave rigid accuracy in the identification of patient names and numbers and the ability to perform phlebotomy successfully using established procedures on patients of all ages are essential qualificationsRequired:Must have a valid and current California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I certificate.Must complete required continuing education requirements to maintain State CPT I certification.Where You'll Work:Founded in 1940, Dignity Health - Marian Regional Medical Center is a 191-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located in Santa Maria, California.
