Our mission is simple: help dogs live longer, healthier lives through routine wellness care We are opening our new Monument Scenter and are looking for a Lead Groomer who enjoys grooming dogs, mentoring others, and helping create a positive, team-oriented environment.

About the Role

The Lead Groomer is responsible for performing high-quality puppy cuts while also supporting, mentoring, and developing the grooming and bathing team . You will help ensure that all grooming services meet Scenthound's quality and safety standards while maintaining an efficient and positive workflow in the Scenter.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform puppy cuts according to Scenthound grooming standards
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to trimmers and bathers
• Train and coach new team members on Scenthound techniques and standards
• Maintain a safe and calm environment for dogs and team members
• Assist the team when needed to keep the Scenter running on schedule
• Ensure high-quality service and consistent grooming results
• Maintain cleanliness and adherence to Scenthound sanitary practices
• Collaborate with the Scenter Manager to support team development

Who You Are

This role is ideal for someone who:
• Enjoys teaching and mentoring others

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of dog grooming experience preferred
• OR graduation from a professional grooming school
• Knowledge of dog breeds, coat types, and grooming tools
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable transportation

Schedule

• Daytime hours only - no late nights
• Typical Scenter hours: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
• Open six days per week
