Project Engineer

Pilot Plant Facility ManagerThis role will have multiple responsibilities. We are currently designing and building a pilot plant facility.Compensation: $100 - $120k salaryEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis role will have two phases to begin with:During construction:Attend and contribute to the Hazardous Operability studies for the pilot plant designAssist in writing Standard Operating ProceduresDaily management of construction crewPerform toolbox talk each morningPerform Hazardous Risk Assessments during the construction processMaintain project schedule and provide weekly updates to managementManage all work ordersManage all lockouts, confined space entries, and occupational hygieneReceive all deliveriesDuring operations:Supervise the operations and maintenance teamsOperate equipment when requiredInput and manage process dataAssist in data analyticsFlowsheet optimizationSchedule and manage sample analysis with external laboratoriesWork flexible hours that could include nightshiftsThis role will be very fast paced and will require a significant amount of self-directed learning. There will be a senior role in Western Magnesium to grow into after the pilot plant operation is complete.QualificationsBachelors degree in engineering with Chemical, Metallurgical, or Mechanical specializationRegistered or ability to register as a PE in the state of Nevada2-5 years of relevant experience, especially in metallurgical operationsHighly organized and ability to multi-task essentialStrong digital literacy in Microsoft Office Suite®: Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power PointOutstanding interpersonal, oral, and written communication skillsStrong analytical, problem-solving skills and comfortable making recommendationsAbility to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environmentCapacity to work in a proactive manner and possess good time management skillsAbility to work collaboratively with others in a technical team-based environmentPreference will be given to candidates with previous metallurgical pilot plant experience and/or industrial plant construction experience.The Company conducts its work based out of a newly acquired location in Las Vegas, Nevada, locating to this area will be required
