Role Description The Vascular Technologist is a part-time, on-site role based in Newnan, GA. The individual in this role performs high-quality non-invasive vascular ultrasound studies, including arterial and venous examinations, and accurately documents findings in the medical record and reporting system. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures, obtaining relevant clinical histories, operating ultrasound equipment, and ensuring adherence to established imaging protocols and safety standards. The Vascular Technologist collaborates closely with the physician and clinical team to support diagnosis and treatment of venous and vascular conditions, including varicose vein and venous reflux treatments. Additional responsibilities may include maintaining equipment, supporting quality assurance activities, and assisting with workflow in a multidisciplinary surgical and metabolic practice. Qualifications Certification and professional registry skills: candidates should possess credentials such as American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) and/or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in a relevant discipline. Clinical domain knowledge: candidates should possess skills and experience in Vascular imaging, with exposure to Cardiology and general Medicine as they relate to vascular and venous disease. Education and experience: completion of an accredited vascular technology, sonography, or radiologic technology program; prior experience performing vascular ultrasound studies in a clinical or hospital setting is strongly preferred. Technical and analytical skills: proficiency in operating vascular ultrasound equipment, performing Doppler studies, and interpreting preliminary findings in alignment with established protocols. Patient care and communication: strong interpersonal skills, ability to explain procedures clearly, provide patient-centered care, and work respectfully with individuals of diverse backgrounds.
