RN - In Center - Hemodialysis

Hemodialysis Registered Nurse – In Center We're looking for a Hemodialysis RN to deliver safe, high-quality chronic dialysis care under the direction of the Unit Medical Director, in compliance with facility, state, and federal standards. What You'll Do Initiate, monitor, and discontinue hemodialysis treatments; assess patients pre- and post-treatment Perform access care and dialyze isolation patients using proper precautions Administer and document medications per physician orders and within RN scope of practice Recognize and report dialysis and non-dialysis-related problems promptly Obtain blood samples and initiate/discontinue blood transfusions per policy Develop and update individualized nursing care plans Provide patient and family education as opportunities arise Maintain a safe environment using proper body mechanics, universal precautions, and infection control Operations & Equipment Operate, sanitize, and maintain dialysis and water treatment equipment per policy Assist with supply ordering, inventory management, and unit organization Report equipment malfunctions and supply issues promptly Team & Administration Communicate effectively with physicians, coordinators, patients, and families Assist in orienting and training new staff Participate in staff meetings, in-services, and CQI projects Support scheduling and adequate unit coverage as needed Requirements Knowledge of ESRD and hemodialysis procedures Commitment to ongoing clinical education and professional development RN will be responsible for maintaining a working knowledge of all hemodialysis and related ancillary and emergency equipment utilized in the facility such as: reuse equipment, water treatment equipment, computer, hemodialysis machines, sphygmomanometer, conductivity meter, glucometers, scale, electronic thermometers, centrifuge, EKG machine, IV infusion pump, code cart, suction machine, oxygen administration equipment, and personal protective equipment. Minimum Qualifications 1. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelors in nursing or health related field preferred. 2. Approximately one year nursing experience. 5. ICU/CCU experience preferred. 6. Successful completion of training course in theory and practice of hemodialysis. 7. Valid driver’s license and insurance, when indicated/applicable for business travel by automobile. 9. Successful completion of current CPR Healthcare Recognition according to the #J-18808-Ljbffr
