Baptist Medical Center is seeking to add an Emergency Department Technician to our Emergency Department at Baptist South. This is a PRN shift opportunity. At Baptist Health, an Emergency Department Technician plays a vital role in supporting physicians and nurses by delivering high‑quality patient care within the Emergency Department. Responsibilities include obtaining vital signs, performing EKGs, collecting specimens, assisting with patient transport, and maintaining a safe, efficient care environment. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail‑oriented, and thrives under pressure. As a Emergency Department Technician, you will be responsible for: Assisting RNs in the Emergency Department with the care of patients who have healthcare needs including activities of daily living. Maintaining a safe environment. Collecting lab specimens. Intake and Output monitoring. Electronic medical record documentation. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
