USAA roles may offer remote or hybrid flexibility for active-duty military spouses consistent with applicable policy and business needs.The OpportunityAs a dedicated Director, Executive Operational Planning within Communications and Public Affairs team, you will lead a team responsible for guiding senior leadership in the prioritization and coordination of key deliverables and activities. You will drive the interpretation of business operations and/or Centers of Excellence (CoE) analyses and initiatives, and develop appropriate action plans and strategic responses to address business, compliance, and regulatory issues. You will lead the development and execution of strategic and operational plans to achieve success across key results areas. Additionally, you will oversee communications and leadership support for Board, Council, and Committee engagements, strategic and operational planning events, monthly business reviews, and compliance and regulatory requirements.We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week.This position will be based in the San Antonio, TX office location.Relocation assistance is not available for this position.What you'll do:Responsible for the coordination of EMG, ELT, CEO, and BoD driven requirements.Supports the development of materials for the Board of Directors by working with key stakeholders including CEO Office, Executive Leadership Team, and/or Function or Line of Business Chief of Staff Team.Establishes protocols for communicating development, operations and organizational development work that enhances flow of information across all levels of the organization.Builds strong relationships with the Function or Line of Business Leadership, Chief of Staff to the CEO, Executive Leadership Team and various stakeholders to enhance execution and delivery on a variety of business priorities.Provides advice and guidance and negotiates approval of deliverable materials with executive management and subject-matter experts prior to securing final approval from senior executive or ELT member. Ensures communications meet established standards of appearance and content and that all logistical requirements are satisfied.Builds and oversees a team of employees for assigned functional area through ongoing execution of recruiting, development, retention, coaching and support, performance management, and managerial activities.Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.What you have:Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.8 years of project/program management experience supporting senior level executives, corporate event planning and/or managing executive level communications.3 years of direct team lead or management experience.Demonstrated ability to influence, interact and collaborate positively with executive leadership (C-Suite) and communicate complex concepts clearly.Ability to balance varying responsibilities that span rhythm of business, communications, executive management, and culture and leads teams to through ambiguity.Demonstrated capability to influence and navigate in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks with competing deadlines, and demonstrate forward-thinking and planning.Experience ensuring processes are in adherence to corporate governance requirements.Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include: Word, Excel and PowerPoint to create executive level presentations and develop process documentation.What sets you apart:Exceptional executive-level written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex business strategies into clear, compelling narratives that drive alignment and decision-making among senior leaders.Demonstrated experience building and managing Sharepoint sites and Power Apps.Proven ability to develop high-impact presentations, executive briefings, strategic plans, and governance materials that influence decision-making and align cross-functional teams around organizational priorities.US military experience gained through military service or gained as a military spouse / domestic partner.Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $127,310.00 - $243,340.00.USAA does not provide visa sponsorship for this role. Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive.
