Job Summary

Garnet Hotels LLC is seeking a friendly, professional, and dependable Front Desk Agent to join our team at Wyndham New Orleans Airport & Conference Center in Kenner, Louisiana.

As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service from check-in through check-out. Our hotel serves business travelers, airline passengers, leisure guests, and conference attendees. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, communicates effectively, and takes pride in creating a welcoming guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.

• Perform guest check-ins, check-outs, room assignments, and reservation modifications accurately.

• Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and guest inquiries promptly.

• Process guest payments, deposits, refunds, and billing adjustments according to hotel procedures.

• Maintain accurate guest records and handle confidential information securely.

• Assist guests with airport shuttle information, transportation inquiries, and local recommendations.

• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure rooms are ready and guest concerns are addressed.

• Assist corporate travelers, conference attendees, and group reservations with their accommodation needs.

• Promote Wyndham Rewards membership and recognize existing loyalty members.

• Handle guest complaints professionally and resolve issues within hotel guidelines.

• Monitor room availability, reservation changes, and daily arrivals and departures.

• Maintain accurate cash handling, shift reports, and front desk documentation.

• Follow Wyndham brand standards, hotel policies, safety procedures, and security protocols.

• Support additional front office duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Previous hotel front desk or customer service experience preferred.

• Experience with Wyndham hotels or hotel property management systems is a plus.

• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to multitask and remain professional during busy periods.

• Basic computer skills and familiarity with reservation systems.

• Ability to handle guest concerns with patience, professionalism, and discretion.

• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

• Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform essential front desk duties, with or without reasonable accommodation.
