Job Description and Duties

DSH Napa Program 2 has openings for permanent full time Office Tecnician (Typing). The OT (Typing) position performs a variety of general and office functions, exercises a high degree of initative and independence in performing assigned duties. Duties include phone usage, data input, typing correspondence and reports, transcribing, record keeping, mail distribution, scheduling appointments, and maintaining filing systems. Candidates must demonstrate organizational and communication skills, along with strong computer proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs. The position requires a high level of professionalism when interacting with our diverse population including staff and patients.

• You must complete the STD. 678 Employment Application
• Duties performed and Supervisor’s name and Contact information must be completed on the STD 678. - Incomplete applications will be screened out.
• Attach a copy of proof of degree and transcripts if using education to meet the minimum qualification.
• You are required to pass the Office Technician (Typing) EX -2012 please read the exam bulletin in its entirety
• A typing certification is required and must be attached with your application

Acceptable Typing certificates are those issued within the last four years and certified from a five (5) minute typing test with a minimum of 40 WPM (words per minute). Typing certification must be 5 minutes in length and proctored either virtually or in person. Unacceptable typing certifications are from tests that were not proctored and less than 5 minutes long.

Special Requirements
