Emergency Room Nursing - Registered Nurse

ED Location: Nashua, New Hampshire Schedule: 7:00PM - 7:00AM x 3 Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension Pay Rate: $59 - $63/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring an ED for a temporary assignment in Nashua, New Hampshire. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a ED:

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in all assigned areas
• Assess patients upon admission using appropriate interview techniques to obtain past medical history and current medical status
• Collect and evaluate vital signs, lab work, x-rays, and other diagnostic tests
• Participate in the planning and implementation of written care plans under the direction of a Physician
• Perform standard assessments using basic equipment
• Administer medications with accuracy utilizing visual acuity and hand-eye coordination
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, including accurate documentation
• Adhere to patient safety standards as outlined in job analysis requirements
• Interact positively with team members and patients
• Respect patients' culture, lifestyle, religion, and age when planning or implementing care
• Accept constructive criticism and manage emotional responses in a positive manner
• Maintain a current, valid New Hampshire Registered Nurse License
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Meet specialty-specific requirements as determined by the applicable discipline
• Complete up to 16 hours of unpaid orientation
