Associate Product Manager - Manufacturing / Materials (High Pressure Laminates)

DescriptionPosition at WilsonartWilsonart is seeking an Associate Product Manager for our High-Pressure Laminate (HPL) manufacturing product line. This role supports physical product development, SKU management, and lifecycle optimization within a manufacturing and supply chain environment.The position partners closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and Sales to drive profitability, manage product changes, and support new product introductions for a tangible, engineered material product portfolio.Note: This role focuses on physical product management within a manufacturing environment (High-Pressure Laminate). This is not a software or IT product management position.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Assist in managing new product introductions to ensure that stated timelines are metIdentify opportunities for price realization, mix improvement, and cost recoveryWork with Supply Chain and Operations to analyze product cost structures and variancesWorks with Product, Operations, and Sales to manage the non-promoted HPL portfolio, including product exceptions, special customer requests, and end of lifeEvaluate impact of materials and production changes on profitabilityIdentify root causes and quantify financial impact of quality issues, e.g. defects, claimsWorks with Product, Marketing, and Technical Services to manage HPL product and technical information in print and on the webKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Excellent organizational/project management skillsStrong computer proficiency, including Excel, PowerPoint, and AdobeAbility to perform competitive analysis and marketing researchKnowledge of marketing methodologiesExcellent written and verbal communication skills; at ease with all levels within the company and with customersCompelling public speaking skillsAbility to develop collaborative relations across departments and levels of the organizationAbility to lead and execute the new product introduction processMinimum Requirements:Education: Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business or a related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted in place of degree. Experience:1+ years in Marketing, Operations, or Project ManagementPreferred Experience:Experience with physical or manufactured products (e.g., building materials, industrial products, consumer goods)Exposure to manufacturing, supply chain, or operations environmentsExperience working with product SKUs, cost structures, or materialsWORKING CONDITIONS PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about.
