Interim Accounting Manager

Interim Accounting Manager
Onsite in Garden City, NY
$70-80/hour DOE

We're working with a growing company in the professional services industry that needs to bring on an Interim Accounting Manager to assist through a period of transition involving systems upgrades, reporting buildout, and accounting clean-up. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in a services environment who enjoys ownership of the monthly accounting cycle and working in a PE owned environment. There is potential for this position to convert to a permanent role.

What You'll Be Doing:

Supporting the Controller with the full monthly accounting cycle and monthly close function
Assisting with reporting requests from the PE firm
Review work of Staff/Senior level employees and provide guidance where necessary
Ad hoc support for the monthly accounting cycle or requests from the PE owners where necessary

Must Have Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience in a public accounting firm supporting a variety of clients/projects
8+ years of progressive accounting experience outside of public accounting, including Manager/Controller level experience working for a PE backed company
Experience in the professional services or security services industry
Demonstrated ownership of a monthly close process of 10 days or faster
Experience with QuickBooks
Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
