Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position requiring at least 2 years of endoscopy experience, Epic proficiency, and on-call availability including holidays and weekends.

Details

• Inpatient endoscopy unit within a hospital setting
• Advanced endoscopy procedures performed, including EMR, ESD, RFA, CRYO, POEM, and ERCP
• 12-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday (0600–1830), with on-call requirements
• On-call coverage required on weekdays, weekends, and holidays
• When on call, candidate must be within 30 minutes of the facility
• Floating required; travelers are first to float, including to sister campuses within 15–20 minutes of the main facility
• Epic EMR experience required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of endoscopy experience required; inpatient endoscopy experience specifically required
• Advanced endoscopy experience (EMR, ESD, RFA, CRYO, POEM, ERCP) preferred
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Degree must be from an accredited nursing program, or candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; candidates cannot own or co-sign on any property within the 50-mile radius
• Driver's license address must match the address on file with the Board of Nursing
• Two professional references required — at least one from within the past year

• Travelers are expected to function as core staff and integrate into the unit culture — flexibility and a team-player attitude are highly valued
• Orientation begins on a Friday; candidates must be present at the facility in person for badge/ID issuance
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and will not be approved after an offer is made
• Block scheduling requests are not accepted
• Candidates must secure full-time housing in the area for the duration of the assignment
• Interview process includes an HWL prescreen interview followed by a manager final interview
