Overview Job Location: Fort Wayne, IN Position Type: Full Time Education Level: High School Salary Range: $16.25 - $16.25 Hourly Travel Percentage: Up to 50% Job Shift: Swing Job Category: Health Care This is a role in health care or social work. AID of Indiana welcomes current or former Caregivers, CNAs, and DSPs as well as caring individuals without formal experience. We promote from within and many administrators, directors, and managers started in entry level positions at AID. Responsibilities Direct Support Professional work with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes. Work in an assisted living residential home and may be required to transport a client or accompany them to community activities. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and other hygiene tasks. Assist with house cleaning, meal preparation, and promoting self-advocacy. Go into the community for activities and teach life skills; follow treatment plans. Support individuals in a positive, compassionate environment and provide well-being support to staff and clients. Pay: $16.25/hr Locations: Offices in Fort Wayne and Muncie; services provided throughout Indiana; availability varies by location. Qualifications G.E.D. or High School Diploma Driver's License Social Security Card Birth Certificate/Passport County Background Check Skills and Experience Compassionate, reliable, and able to work independently.
