About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their team. The CFO will be responsible for directing the finance, accounting, and administrative functions, with a primary focus on overseeing all financial activities, including planning, reporting, analysis, accounting, budgeting, credit, insurance, and treasury. This role requires the CFO to provide leadership and coordination in the administrative, accounting, and budgeting efforts, ensuring that the financial plan is in line with the company's strategic goals. The successful candidate will also work closely with the Board of Directors Finance and Audit Committee to establish and maintain financial control policies. Candidates for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business, with a CPA or MBA strongly preferred. A minimum of 15 years' experience in financial leadership is required, with a preference for those who have direct experience in the maritime industry. The ideal candidate will be a politically savvy negotiator, a strategic visionary, and possess excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. Professional and ethical standards are of the highest importance, as is the ability to work with a Board of Directors. The CFO will also be involved in capital asset planning, procurement, and real property administration.
