A registered nurse specializing in orthopedic care is needed for a position on the medical surgical orthopedic floor in Salinas, California. This role involves providing comprehensive care to patients undergoing joint replacement surgeries, from pre-operative education to post-operative recovery. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: Salinas, California
• Specialty: Medical Surgical Orthopedic Floor
• Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
• Schedule: 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications and Experience: Bachelors Degree in Nursing, licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of California, current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association, Orthopedic Nurse Certification from the Orthopaedic Nurses Certification Board or other relevant specialty, a minimum of four (4) years of clinical nursing experience, and previous program development and implementation experience.
• Knowledge and Skills: Epic electronic medical record system experience (minimum of six to twelve months within the past year), thorough knowledge of The Joint Commission (TJC) Disease-Specific and other regulatory requirements, excellent written and oral communication, coordination, problem-solving skills, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Preferred Qualifications: Recent orthopedic nursing experience.
