Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for Oncology Medsurg Nurse Travelers!

- Position: Oncology Medsurg Nurse
- Shift: 12-hour Days (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM)
- Schedule: Every other weekend, first to float
- Unit Type: Medsurg Oncology (17 beds)

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care to oncology patients (administering chemo not required)
- Ensure safe nurse-to-patient ratios (1:5, could be 1:4 for patients receiving chemo)
- Collaborate with a clinical supervisor who supports the team without taking patient assignments
- Float between med-surg and telemetry units as needed (1:4 ratio)

Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in specialty nursing (Oncology/Medsurg)
- Must be a team player and have travel experience
- Certifications: BLS required
- COVID vaccine mandated
- Ability to read and interpret telemetry (dysrhythmia exam required)

Additional Information:
- Hospital features a 24/7 IV Team and Pharmacy
- Orientation includes one shift on the unit
- Engage with a diverse patient population, primarily oncology with some med-surg overflow

Cancellation Policy:
- Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
