School Bus Driver
Qualifications: Criminal background check pursuant to W. Va. Code §18-5-15c, et seq. Meet the definition of "Qualifications" pursuant to W. Va. Code §18A-4-8b Demonstrate competency pursuant to W. Va. Code §18A-4-8e as required Must be at least 21 years of age Must have at least three (3) years of driving experience as a licensed operator of any vehicle Must obtain and maintain a West Virginia CDL license with passenger and school bus endorsement Must successfully complete the West Virginia School Bus Safety Program and pass all requisite online and skills tests Must maintain a valid CPR/First Aid certification Complete all required county and WVDE trainings Must pass a physical examination from a Medical Examiner as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Subject to drug and alcohol screenings Must meet all requirements outlined in West Virginia State Board of Education Policy 4336 The ability to perform the job duties and responsibilities as contained in the Job Description, with or without reasonable accommodations
Additional Minimum Requirements: Applicants who have recent unsatisfactory evaluations will not be eligible for consideration. Applicants who demonstrate unsatisfactory interview performance are not eligible for consideration. Applicants who receive unfavorable reference recommendations are not eligible for consideration. Applicants who have been dismissed or who have had their contracts non-renewed for cause are not eligible for consideration.
Start Date: September 22, 2026 for the remainder of the 200-day contract for the 2026-2027 School Year. 200-day contract beginning the 2027-2028 School Year. Salary: Based on the 2026-2027 salary scale. Route: Route 29, Sperry's Run, Lower and Upper Arkansaw Road and portions of North River, Rock Oak Road- Needmore Road, and portions of Route 259 from Route 29 to Baker.
