Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Emergency Medicine

 This on-site contract position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced medical environment, providing essential care to patients in need.

As a Locum Emergency Medicine Physician, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality emergency care. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to assess and treat patients, manage emergencies, and ensure optimal patient outcomes. Your expertise will directly contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our emergency department.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients of all ages
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations
• Stabilize and manage acute medical conditions and trauma cases
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner
• Participate in departmental meetings and case discussions
• Ensure compliance with medical protocols and standards of care
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emergency medicine best practices

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Valid medical license to practice in the state of New Mexico
• Experience in emergency medicine or related field
• Strong clinical skills and ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Board certification in Emergency Medicine is preferred

Schedule: 7a-7p or 7p-7a

Annual Volume: 48k at one location, 90k at other location

Facility: Combo urgent cares/free-standing ERs

Support Staff: APPs

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
