Maintenance Technician I

As a Maintenance Technician at our 77‑unit multi‑family affordable housing community Hilltop, you will play a vital role in ensuring our buildings and grounds are safe, functional, and inviting. You’ll perform a variety of maintenance tasks, from plumbing and electrical repairs to HVAC and carpentry work, all while upholding our high standards for quality and safety. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Complete service requests in a timely manner and interact with residents to ensure their needs are met. Prepare vacant units to occupancy standards within established time frames. Inspect property mechanical systems and grounds, addressing safety issues immediately with management. Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs. Perform cleaning and upkeep of common areas and grounds. Assist in emergency repairs as directed by supervisors and rotate on‑call for emergency maintenance. Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and report any shortages. ANTICIPATED SALARY RANGE $24.00 - $25.00 / hourly Annual performance bonus This position is non‑exempt, meaning eligible for overtime pay. QUALIFICATIONS 1+ years of experience in general maintenance or a related field. Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems. Affordable housing experience is a plus. Must be able to participate in the emergency on‑call rotation as needed. Dedicated to exceeding expectations by providing exceptional service. Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus. Personal standards of appearance and dress compatible with the Company’s standards.
