We are seeking an experienced Per Diem Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or Veterinary Assistant to support our 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital. In your day-to-day, you will: Deliver exceptional nursing care for emergency and hospitalized canine and feline patients. Perform venipuncture, phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, medication administration, and patient monitoring. Execute, monitor, and recover anesthesia and sedation events. Triage emergency patients and recognize changes in patient condition. Assist veterinarians during minor surgical procedures. Prioritize treatments and collaborate with doctors to ensure outstanding patient outcomes. Educate clients regarding patient care, hospitalization, and discharge instructions. Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams. Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture. What You Bring California Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license or Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP) required. Minimum three years of experience in progressive general practice or two years in an emergency or specialty veterinary hospital. Strong skills in emergency nursing, anesthesia, pharmacology, and patient care. Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
