We are an established mid-sized alternatives fund manager based in Northern New Jersey, managing investments across the capital structure of primarily mid-cap and large-cap U.S. companies. Our collaborative team comprises portfolio managers, research analysts, computer scientists, and data scientists dedicated to compelling investment outcomes.

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Analyst to join our collegial team of investment professionals. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, a deep understanding of both credit and equity markets, and relevant experience on either the buy-side or sell-side.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth company and security analysis across the Industrial, Consumer, and Healthcare sectors .
• Monitor and stay current on company research, market developments, industry trends, and regulatory updates relevant to assigned sectors and portfolio companies.
• Synthesize findings and communicate actionable insights to the broader investment team in a timely manner.
• Attend earnings calls, investor conferences, and company presentations; summarize key takeaways and present investment implications to the team.
• Develop, maintain, and update detailed financial models and valuation frameworks for companies and sectors under coverage.
• Assist in building and maintaining sector-specific databases and analytical tools.
• Formulate and continuously refine both absolute and relative value views within assigned sectors using the latest analytical and technological tools.
• Leverage data-driven approaches and demonstrate familiarity with emerging technologies, including AI-enabled research tools, where applicable.
• Collaborate closely with portfolio managers and fellow analysts on investment ideas, portfolio monitoring, and risk assessment.

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance , Accounting, Economics , or a related field. Advanced qualifications such as MBA or CFA are preferred.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in investment research, equity research, credit analysis, asset management, investment banking, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of both equity and credit markets .
• Experience conducting fundamental company analysis and building robust financial models.
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities, including presentation skills.
• Demonstrated initiative, intellectual curiosity, and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with data analytics and AI-based research tools is advantageous.
