Job Summary:
A Pathology Assistant position is available in a healthcare setting in New York. This role involves selecting and identifying tissue for microscopic examination, describing measures and dictating gross findings, determining proper fixative and decalcification procedures, photographing specimens, and grossing specimens/biopsies. The position requires maintaining accuracy and efficiency for an estimated workload of approximately 200 cases per day, utilizing Epic and Cerner Millennium systems.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 7.5 hours per day, minimum of 37.5 hours per week, from 10/12/2026 to 01/09/2027.
• Required Qualifications: NY Department of Health Pathologists Assistant License, minimum of 2 years' experience, ability to gross specimens/biopsies.
• Preferred Qualifications: ASCP certification, ability to provide frozen section coverage.
• Additional Information: Candidates who cannot perform grossing and solely conduct biopsying will be considered for an alternative opening at a reduced rate. The workflow involves handling approximately 200 cases daily with the use of Epic and Cerner Millennium systems.
