Make a meaningful impact in an educational setting as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a contract role near San Jose, CA. This full-time opportunity is available immediately and will continue until a permanent internal hire is made. You'll enjoy the support of a dedicated team while providing essential services to students and helping them reach their communication goals.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid SLPA licensure in California required
- Recent experience working in schools or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with educators and families
- Flexibility to adapt to changing caseloads and school environments
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Conduct therapy sessions with students, following individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service providers to support student development
- Assist with speech and language screenings as needed
