Job Summary:
Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery and Postpartum care in Spokane, Washington. This role involves caring for postpartum and low-risk antepartum patients, with a focus on mother-baby nursing assessments, neonatal care, breastfeeding support, and discharge teaching. The position requires a dedicated healthcare professional committed to providing high-quality maternal and neonatal services.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights, 12 hours shift time, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) preferred, 2 years of experience in Mother-Baby/Postpartum nursing, at least 1 year as a Registered Nurse, with the ability to independently care for 3-4 mother-baby couplets and provide comprehensive postpartum care and discharge teaching.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with NICU, NAS (Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome) babies, newborn lab and phlebotomy skills, IV skills (adult), PKU testing, and lactation support.
• Schedule: Starting 09/08/2026, 6-week schedule cycle, released 2 weeks prior, with weekend rotation every other or every third weekend. Night shift orientation includes one day shift and two night shifts.
• Additional Information: The unit is team-oriented with a helpful culture, offering a positive environment and high retention rates. Staff may float to neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) or labor and delivery (LD) units voluntarily. Scrubs can be any color, and parking is provided free of charge. The hospital operates with a 24/7 coverage model for key clinical and technical staff, including nurses, RTs, hospitalists, and in-house anesthesia services.
