Shift: MF Day Shift | 5x8 | 08:00 AM 04:30 PM
Guaranteed 40 Hours Per Week
Candidate Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of Histo Technologist (Pathology Laboratory) experience required
No local candidates within 50 miles
ASCP (HT/HTL) Certification Required
Successful completion of a formal Histology Technologist training program OR an Associates Degree in Chemical, Physical, or Biological Sciences
Experience in pathology laboratory environments preferred
Familiarity with Cerner EMR preferred Position Overview:
The Histo Technologist will work within the Pathology Laboratory Department, supporting pathology, cytology, and immunohistochemistry (IHC) operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with:
Receiving specimens from surgery
Accessioning specimens into Cerner
Collection of tissue blocks from pathology staff
Tissue processing, embedding, cutting, and slide staining
