Warehouse Sanitation Full Time Manual Labor Savannah, GA, US 4 days ago Requisition ID: 1305 SUMMARY OF POSITION : Responsible for maintenance and safety of the facility (indoors and outdoors) reassuring the safe and efficient operation of all equipment utilized for building activities. SIGN-ON BONUS: $500 Sign-On Bonus! This position is eligible for a $500 sign-on bonus, payable after the successful completion of 90 days of continuous employment. To qualify, employees must remain in good standing, which includes maintaining satisfactory job performance, attendance, and compliance with company policies. Employees who separate from employment or are subject to corrective action prior to completing 90 days of employment will forfeit eligibility for the sign-on bonus. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : Perform general maintenance and upkeep of buildings; inspect assigned buildings/related fixtures, mechanical equipment, machines, and other structural components. Keep the building and grounds neat, clean, free from clutter and safe from hazards. Clean and sanitize restrooms (as needed) Clean windows, distribution center floor, dock areas and maintain cleanliness of parking lot. Responsible for trash collection inside and outside of the building Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and other necessities Perform minor maintenance duties including light plumbing, electrical, hanging pictures and similar tasks Assemble warehouse racks, ladders, and displays Maintain and execute preventative maintenance schedule to include: dusting and sanitizing workstations, cleaning refrigerators, deep cleaning of work areas, using the sweeper for the warehouse floor, etc. Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : Education: High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma or equivalent experience Experience: 1+ years of job-related experience Skills/Qualifications: Ability to follow directions and work independently Excellent mathematical skills Must have rational reasoning skills to solve practical problems Working knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and electrical systems Able to operate machinery including sweeper Ability to manage multiple projects WORKING CONDITIONS: Must be able to work in a team-oriented, professional and fast-paced environment. Typically, in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery. Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift from 15 to 80 pounds.
