Position Overview We are looking for a career focused CNC Swiss Lathe Machinist to work evening shifts, who is a problem‑solver who can roll up their sleeves, think on their feet, and work on complex Swiss screw machines. This is a full‑time on‑site role located in Medford, NY. Part time, afternoon or evening hours would be considered for candidates with the right experience. Requirements 5+ years working in an aerospace, military, medical or industrial machine shop Experience with Turning, Swiss, and/or Milling machines or CNC Machine Operator certificate Experience in CNC machine set up and operation, including both legacy components and new production orders Experience editing and programming with CAD/CAM software and CNC programs is a plus Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints Knowledge of AS9100 is a plus Experience holding tolerances to .0002" and .001 True Position Working knowledge of various materials & tools (inserts, endmills, drills, etc.) Ability to use measuring tools as required (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) Good planning and organization skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to multitask and prioritize Must be dependable and possess a willingness to learn new techniques Must be a U.S. person as defined by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) Must read, write and speak English Must be able to regularly stand and lift 20 lbs, occasionally lift up to 50 lbs Essential Duties and Responsibilities Verify components are produced to print (dimensional and visual inspection), holding tight tolerance of +/- .0002 Make offsets Start the machining cycle Load and unload parts in the machine Complete all paperwork related to production Change tooling as needed Meet quality standards and production schedules Perform scheduled and preventive maintenance on equipment Ensure proper material control, identification, and traceability for conforming and nonconforming materials Maintain safe working conditions and follow occupational safety and health requirements, including PPE guidance Support quality best practices and contribute to continuous improvement Schedule Shop open 6 AM to 10 PM, Monday through Friday Individual schedule is negotiable Day shift Evening shift Overtime as available Weekends as needed Compensation Pay: Up to $50.00 per hour Expected hours: 20 – 50 per week Location Work Location: In person #J-18808-Ljbffr Posimech Inc
