Radiology - Interventional Physician

What You ll Need to Succeed:

• Proven experience in Interventional Radiology, including procedures such as biopsies, drain placements, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and intra-abdominal abscess drainage
• Strong skills in acute care imaging, particularly stroke CTs and emergency department and ICU imaging studies
• Competency in procedural techniques and confident decision-making in high-pressure environments
• Proficiency with EMR systems, preferably Cerner
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with diagnostic imaging professionals, nurses, and techs

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with breast biopsies and outpatient IR procedures
• Previous work in general acute care hospital settings
• Ability to handle a high patient volume efficiently

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Board-certified or board-eligible Radiologist with subspecialty training preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of post-training clinical experience in IR and acute care imaging
• Active California medical license and current certifications in radiology and IR procedures

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to work scheduled shifts, primarily 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, during specified dates from July through January
• Credentialing with Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital and other facilities as needed
• Ability to interpret approximately 50 studies daily, including CTs, ultrasounds, X-rays, and IR procedures
• Travel allowances and reimbursements provided when applicable; specific lodging preferences can be accommodated
