Transfer Admissions Strategist

Responsibilities Conduct admission interviews for prospective transfer students. Evaluate transcripts, interpret transfer course equivalencies, advise students on core requirements and available majors. Maintain admission files and enrollment records. Plan, coordinate and implement transfer recruitment activities. Build relationships with community colleges and businesses in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. Read and evaluate applications and scholarship essays; assure applicant credentials meet qualifications for admission; select qualified applicants and make recommendations regarding admissions and awarding of scholarships. Provide outstanding customer service to prospective students and applicants; respond promptly to inquiries via email and phone; manage communication with prospective students and applicants regarding admission process and related matters. Explain financial aid policies and opportunities. Communicate effectively with university personnel and departments servicing students and coordinating events. Develop routine letters and other correspondence as needed. Attend staff and campus-wide meetings. Perform work during evenings and some weekends, including light travel. Provide work direction and training to assigned staff. Prepare and maintain records and reports related to assigned activities. Participate in the development of publicity materials including letters, brochures and fliers. Perform related duties as assigned. #J-18808-Ljbffr Wacac
