Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum, ensuring the safety and comfort of both mother and newborn. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver compassionate, high-quality maternal healthcare.

Responsibilities:

Assess and monitor patients' progress during labor and delivery, utilizing fetal monitoring equipment.
Administer medications such as Cytotec or Cervidil and assist with procedures including vaginal deliveries and Cesarean sections.
Support and supervise patients throughout antepartum, labor, and recovery phases, following AWHONN guidelines.
Assist with catching newborns and managing postpartum care, ensuring optimal outcomes.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and clinical procedures within the electronic medical record system.
Demonstrate a culture of caring and compassion, providing emotional support to patients and their families.

Qualifications:

Hold a valid RN license with at least 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience.
Possess BLS and ACLS certifications.
Demonstrate proficiency in fetal monitoring and obstetric procedures.
Experience with CPN/GE EMR systems preferred.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with rotating weekends and no call.
