Work Environment\nThis position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility and a better work-life balance while also offering an outpatient office setting for in-person consultations when necessary. Our organization is committed to supporting clinicians with modern technology, including a robust electronic health record (EHR) system that streamlines patient documentation and enhances communication among the multidisciplinary team. Our practice operates seven days a week from 7 am to 10 pm, providing extended hours for clients and clinicians alike.
Key Responsibilities\nAs a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), you will be responsible for:

- Conducting trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories and identifying appropriate treatment interventions. \n
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans designed to promote recovery and resilience, particularly focused on trauma recovery. \n
- Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, specifically utilizing techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). \n
- Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients as they process trauma and develop effective coping strategies. \n
- Collaborating with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure integrated, comprehensive care for all patients. \n
- Offering crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate and effective response to clients’ needs. \n
- Educating patients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and available community resources. \n
- Maintaining accurate, confidential documentation in line with legal and ethical standards, while regularly participating in case consultations and team meetings to enhance care delivery. \n
- Engaging in continual professional development and staying updated with the latest research in trauma therapy. \n
Your role will focus on a diverse range of clients, primarily those grappling with trauma and its impacts on mental health. You will work with individuals and families from varied backgrounds, ensuring that your approaches are sensitive to their unique needs and life experiences. As part of our practice, you will have access to a motivated patient population ready to engage with the therapeutic process, fostering an environment for positive outcomes.
Qualifications\nThe ideal candidate will possess:

- A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution. \n
- Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois. \n
- A strong foundational understanding of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment modalities, and resilience-building strategies. \n
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, displaying a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor in all interactions. \n
- The capacity to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations, providing stability for clients in crisis. \n
- Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications to enhance workflow. \n
- A proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, valuing diverse perspectives and expertise. \n
While we welcome all qualified candidates, preference will be given to those with:

- A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting. \n
- Past experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions. \n
- Behavioral health generalist skills with a willingness to treat couples (training will be provided). \n
