Psychiatric Medical Director
\n \nAvondale, AZ | Full-Time | Direct Hire | Behavioral Health & Substance Use Care

\nWe are seeking a mission-driven Psychiatric Medical Director to provide visionary leadership at our dedicated behavioral health and substance use facility in Avondale, Arizona. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity for a physician committed to advancing integrated psychiatric care and supporting a high-performing clinical team.
\n \nKey Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Oversee clinical operations and ensure excellence in patient care \n
- Lead, mentor, and support a multidisciplinary team of medical professionals \n
- Ensure regulatory compliance, including Title 36, detox protocols, and involuntary holds \n
- Participate in the development and oversight of individualized treatment plans \n
- Provide direct psychiatric evaluations and ongoing care \n
- Participate in phone-based on-call coverage \n
- Foster a positive, team-oriented culture grounded in quality and compassion \n
- Stay current through CME and professional development opportunities \n
Qualifications
\n- \n
- MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry \n
- Active DEA license \n
- Minimum 2 years of post-residency clinical practice \n
- 3+ years of leadership or medical director experience preferred \n
- Strong understanding of Title 36, medical detox, and involuntary psychiatric care \n
- Exceptional communication, team leadership, and decision-making skills \n
- Passion for recovery-focused, trauma-informed care \n
