The Financial Analyst II drives decision support and financial transparency across the DISH Technologies organization. This role resolves operational spend inefficiencies, standardizes capital and operational expenditure reporting, and mitigates financial risk across contractual commitments. Through rigorous variance analysis, forecasting, and cross-functional operational alignment, the role delivers actionable data directly to executive leadership to guide corporate strategy.

What Success Looks Like (Objectives):

• Lead monthly financial reporting cadence, KPI tracking, and variance analyses to keep departmental operational spend within target budget thresholds
• Build ROI, NPV, and DCF financial models to evaluate capital investments and strategic technology initiatives for executive review
• Deliver accurate annual budgets and executive-ready presentations for CFO and CEO strategy reviews
• Reconcile contractual commitments against actual vendor charges to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate financial exposure
• Leverage AI-assisted analytical tools and advanced spreadsheet automation to accelerate ad hoc reporting turnaround times and data synthesis
• Partner with Supply Chain and Accounts Payable teams to streamline purchase requisition workflows and optimize fixed-asset accounting processes

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Core Skills and Competencies (What you'll bring):

• Financial modeling and quantitative analysis skills, including discounted cash flow and capital allocation frameworks
• Advanced spreadsheet proficiency, with critical experience structuring complex datasets, building automated models, and managing data validation
• Practical AI literacy and application skills, specifically using generative and predictive AI tools to enhance variance analysis workflows and summarize financial data
• Effective stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial implications to technical leaders and executive management
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to resolve operational accounting discrepancies and identify cost risks
• Cross-functional collaboration skills to align operational teams, vendor managers, and corporate accounting partners around shared financial objectives

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience within the technology, telecommunications, or media sectors
• Familiarity with enterprise financial platforms such as OneStream and Oracle
• Proficiency with Google Workspace enterprise tools

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Minimum Experience: 3 years of experience in corporate FP&A, accounting, or business operations
• Required Technical Skills: Must have at least 3 years of experience with:
• Advanced Microsoft Excel (nested formulas, pivot tables, data modeling)
• Financial statement analysis and variance decomposition
• Budgeting, forecasting, and headcount/expense reconciliation

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $63,150.00/Year - $90,000.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
