Salary: $48-$54 per hour

Rehabilitation Center of Orlando is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team. Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized speech-language pathology treatment plans.

• Assess, treat, and monitor residents with speech, language, voice, cognitive, and swallowing (dysphagia) disorders.

• Design personalized therapy programs based on each resident's abilities, interests, and rehabilitation goals.

• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.

• Recommend and assist with acquiring adaptive communication devices and train residents in their proper use.

• Provide cognitive and communication therapy to maximize resident independence and quality of life.

• Modify treatment plans as residents' needs and progress evolve.

• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment goals, techniques, and home programs when appropriate.

• Participate in interdisciplinary care plan meetings, staff meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.

• Provide education and training to nursing, medical, and therapy staff on speech therapy techniques and swallowing safety.

• Supervise Speech Therapy Assistants and support personnel in accordance with state regulations and professional standards.

• Complete accurate and timely documentation in compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, state, and facility guidelines.

• Foster a compassionate, resident-centered environment that promotes dignity, respect, and individualized care.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

• Current Florida Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility for licensure.

• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology ( CCC-SLP ) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association ( ASHA ), or eligibility to obtain.

• Strong clinical experience in dysphagia management and cognitive rehabilitation .

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.

• Nursing home, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing facility experience preferred.

• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
