Legal Entity: AECOM Technical Services Inc Business Line: Transportation Work Location Model: On‑Site Primary Location: US - Detroit, MI - 2550 Grand Blvd Compensation: USD 20 - USD 22 - hourly Job Description AECOM is seeking a Traffic Monitoring Specialist / Dispatcher / Call Center to be based in Detroit, MI . This is for an overnight (9pm-5am) shift with weekends and some holiday hours required. Position is based out of client location near downtown Detroit, MI. Updating and responding to scheduled and unscheduled traffic events and congestion with devices such as closed‑circuit camera TV systems, cameras, detectors, etc. Act like an emergency dispatcher within a call center environment, dispatching responders via a two‑way radio system to assist motorists, respond to events and other activities that require timely and efficient responses. Perform data entry functions. Ability to fluently work in multiple PC applications simultaneously. Possess exceptional organizational skills to effectively prioritize multiple tasks in real time and in potentially serious situations. Possess exceptional communication skills both in written and verbal forms to effectively receive, document, and relay information from numerous sources. Works under direct supervision performing moderately complex technical work utilizing instructions, examples, and results from computer systems. Perform critical thinking functions and assessments and make decisions based upon circumstances.
