Entry-Level Maintenance Technician

Location: Holland, MI
Shift: 6:30 AM–5:00 PM | Monday–Thursday
Pay: $20.00–$23.00/hour (Based on Experience)

Job Summary

We're looking for a motivated and dependable Entry-Level Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with apprentice-level maintenance experience who is eager to develop their skills in industrial maintenance. The successful candidate will assist with die changes, preventive machine maintenance, and facility upkeep while working alongside experienced maintenance personnel.

What You'll Be Doing

As an Entry-Level Maintenance Technician, your core responsibilities will include:

1. Performing Die Changes: Assist with and perform die changes on stamping presses to support production schedules.
2. Conducting Preventive Maintenance: Complete scheduled maintenance tasks to help ensure equipment reliability and efficiency.
3. Supporting Machine Repairs: Assist in troubleshooting and repairing production equipment as needed.
4. Performing Facility Maintenance: Help maintain the building, grounds, and facility systems to support safe operations.
5. Inspecting Equipment: Monitor machinery and equipment for signs of wear, damage, or maintenance needs.
6. Maintaining a Safe Work Environment: Follow all safety procedures and maintain clean, organized work areas.

In addition, you will support the maintenance team with equipment setups, basic repairs, and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Apprentice-level maintenance experience preferred.
2. Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
3. Experience using hand and power tools.
4. Ability to learn industrial maintenance procedures and equipment operation.
5. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills

1. Mechanical Aptitude: Basic understanding of machinery, equipment, and maintenance principles.
2. Preventive Maintenance: Ability to perform routine inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and maintenance tasks.
3. Tool Knowledge: Comfortable using common hand and power tools safely and effectively.
4. Problem Solving: Ability to identify equipment issues and assist with corrective actions.
5. Organization: Ability to maintain maintenance records and keep work areas organized.
6. Safety Awareness: Commitment to following workplace safety procedures and best practices.

Physical Requirements

1. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb throughout the shift.
2. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
3. Ability to use maintenance tools and equipment for extended periods.
4. Ability to work around machinery, moving equipment, and manufacturing processes.
5. Ability to work in varying temperatures and industrial environments.
