Paralegal - Commercial Litigation (Hybrid - California)

Commercial Litigation Paralegal - Los Angeles / Santa Monica, CA Trustpoint.One is partnering with a highly regarded national law firm to identify an experienced Commercial Litigation Paralegal to join its Southern California team. This is an excellent opportunity for a litigation paralegal seeking substantive, hands-on work within a sophisticated commercial litigation practice.The position may be based in either the firm's Downtown Los Angeles or Santa Monica office and offers a hybrid schedule of three days onsite and two days remote each week .The ideal candidate will bring 3+ years of paralegal experience , a strong understanding of the litigation lifecycle, and hands-on experience with court filings, discovery, subpoenas, document management, and case organization. Commercial litigation and trial experience are strongly preferred. Responsibilities Assist attorneys throughout all stages of commercial litigation matters . Prepare and electronically file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents in state and federal courts . Manage case files, including creating and maintaining files, monitoring calendars and deadlines, tracking case activity, and maintaining information within applicable case management systems. Assist with document management, including document review, proofreading, Bates labeling, organization of materials, and compilation of information for discovery responses, pleadings, and motions. Take a lead role in subpoena preparation and third-party records retrieval efforts . Assist with discovery and e-discovery, including the collection, review, organization, and production of electronically stored information. Conduct factual research and investigations relating to active litigation matters. Draft correspondence and memoranda for attorneys as requested. Provide hands-on trial preparation and trial support , including organizing evidence, preparing exhibits, coordinating witnesses, and ensuring witnesses and materials are ready when needed. Accurately record billable time with clear, detailed time-entry descriptions. Work collaboratively with attorneys and other members of the litigation team while independently managing assigned responsibilities and deadlines. Qualifications 3+ years of paralegal experience , preferably within a law firm litigation practice. Experience with commercial litigation strongly preferred. Hands-on trial preparation and/or trial attendance experience preferred. Experience preparing and e-filing documents in state and federal courts. Strong experience with subpoenas, third-party records retrieval, discovery, and document management . Familiarity with e-discovery processes and electronically stored information. Experience with Relativity, LiveNote, CaseMap/TimeMap, Summation, Adobe Acrobat, and/or Trial Director is a plus. Experience entering billable time using systems such as InTapp or similar legal billing platforms is preferred. Associate's degree and/or paralegal certificate required. Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Ability to independently manage multiple matters, deadlines, and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work additional hours and overtime when case or trial demands require. Why Consider This Opportunity?
