Hours: Day shift, Monday-Friday, (hours as needed). Office is closed on weekends and observed holidays. Compensation: Competitive, based on experience

Position Overview Newberry Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Clinic is seeking a reliable, organized, and people-focused Front Desk / Office Assistant to support our busy outpatient physical therapy clinic. This role is essential to keeping the clinic running smoothly and creating a positive experience for our patients. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable multitasking, and communicates professionally and calmly with patients, staff, and insurance providers. Key Responsibilities Greet patients and provide a friendly, professional front-office experience Answer phones, schedule appointments, and respond to patient inquiries Perform insurance pre-authorizations and verify coverage Enter and maintain accurate patient and insurance data

Collect patient payments and process transactions Maintain organized records and support general office operations What This Role Is Really Like This position requires frequent task-switching. You may be answering phones, checking in patients, navigating insurance portals, and responding to staff requests—sometimes at the same time. Maintaining composure, accuracy, and kindness is essential. This role is not well-suited for someone who prefers slow, highly predictable workflows or minimal public interaction.
