Manufacturing Associate - Mechanical I (Hand Add)

The Manufacturing Associate – Mechanical is responsible for manufacturing of printed circuit board assemblies to specification and in a timely manner. Vanguard EMS, Inc. is in the service business. What you’ll do: Navigate and perform transactions in Smarter Production System Follow safety protocols, material handling process, and written work instructions Set-up and operate press fit and detab machines Press components into circuit boards Perform torque testing and 1st piece run inspection process Maintain the condition of fixtures, tooling, and detab equipment Work with Coordinator and Engineering to improve processing Maintain a clean work area Performs other duties as assigned. What you’ll need: Basic proficiency in computer systems including Microsoft Excel (vlookups, etc), Office, and Outlook Read, understand & write English Ability to work well with others or by themselves Detail-oriented Able to demonstrate sound decision making and mechanical ability Work safely in a manufacturing environment Education and/or Experience High School Diploma, GED or equivalent Experience using electronics prep tools Knowledge and use of IPC 610 and J-STD Preferred Qualifications Experience with pneumatic presses, machine set-up, and/or prepping electronics components Soldering PCBA’s The physical demands and work environment characteristics described above are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
