Details Level I trauma and stroke ICU setting Patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1 Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00-7:30 Every other weekend (EOW) required Floating required as needed Holiday coverage required as needed Epic experience required Cerner charting system preferred Requirements Active FL or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration BLS and ACLS certification via AHA required NIH Stroke Scale certification required in hand at time of consideration Minimum 3 years recent critical care experience with acute/chronically ill patients Trauma and Neuro ICU experience required Level I Trauma experience required Degree required from an accredited school or FBON-approved institution with 2 years recent consecutive acute care experience in a US hospital within the past 24 months Epic EMR experience required Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, and central line care/management Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients Skilled in suctioning (ETT, NT) Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response Skilled in titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and medication administration Successful completion of Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening required, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks and abuse registry review Additional Information Provide critical care nursing to acute and chronically ill trauma and neuro ICU patients Charge RN and Neuro ICU experience preferred Smoke-free facility Locals within a 60-mile radius are considered at a lower rate than travel positions Permanent employees must be separated from the facility for 1 year before returning as a traveler Candidates from Operation Nightingale schools are not accepted Must pass a basic arrhythmia assessment prior to starting first shift, with a retake available within 24 hours if needed American Traveler Job ID P-737994.
