RDM International is seeking a motivated Construction Inspector with 1–3 years of experience in concrete, asphalt, or heavy civil construction to support aviation and infrastructure projects throughout Northern Virginia.

This is a hands-on, field-based role working alongside project managers, engineers, contractors, and airport authorities. If you’re looking to grow your career in civil engineering and construction inspection , we provide training and exposure to high-impact projects.

What You’ll Do

• Perform field inspections on heavy civil and airfield construction projects
• Monitor installation of:
  • Portland cement concrete
  • Hot mix asphalt
  • Aggregate base & subbase
  • Drainage systems & utilities
  • Reinforcement steel and pavement joints
• Ensure work meets project plans, specifications, and quality standards
• Prepare daily reports and inspection logs using project software
• Review and interpret construction drawings and engineering plans
• Assist with material quantity take-offs and field measurements
• Observe and document material testing and quality acceptance
• Support engineering teams with field data collection

What We’re Looking For

• 1–3 years of construction inspection or field experience (REQUIRED)
• Experience with concrete, asphalt, or roadway/airfield construction preferred
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and reporting skills
• Willingness to work outdoors and travel to job sites locally
• Background in a construction trade or civil engineering/technology is a plus

Work Schedule

• Full-time, 40–50 hours/week
• Monday–Friday, with occasional weekends as needed
• Mix of field and office work
